Jean Pool was founded in November of 2006 by Josh Dunkin and Scott Wable. Jean Pool started out in Mt. Washington and has recently relocated to the Village of Cross Keys. The current address for Jean Pool is 92 Village Square Baltimore, Md 21210 and the stores phone number is 410-207-9732.
Jean Pool is a boutique denim store that caters to males and females above the age of thirteen. Jean Pool has a common goal of finding the perfect fit for everyone. Jean Pool has been voted best denim store in Baltimore 2 years running by Baltimore Magazine.
The slogan that Jean Pool incorporates with its company is “West Coast Meets East Coast.” Jean Pool offers a wide variety of Apparel Suppliers such as: 1921, Stitch’s, AG, Tag Jeans, Joe’s jeans, Lofli, Fortune Denim, James Jeans, Serfontaine, Rich and Skinny, Chip and Pepper, Robin’s Jeans, Peoples Liberation, James Dry Aged Denim, Hudson, Belts, Tops and Jewels. Another feature unique to Jean Pool is that they conduct in store alterations.
Jean Pool is very active in the community and host several fundraising events.
Scott Wable is Co-Owner of Jean Pool, Scott grew up in the country but is now living a city dream. Scott attended Salisbury University where he received a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing/management. After he graduated from college Scott traveled the country, living in St. Thomas, Key West, Washington D.C., and Ocean City. Scott made his last stop here in Baltimore in 1999. In Baltimore Scott worked at several jobs including: a visual merchandiser for the gap, visual display department at Nordstrom’s, and Ruth Shaw in Cross Keys. He has always had an interest in the fashion industry and is happy to finally have his dream job in Jean Pool. He wanted to found Jean Pool because he perceived there was a lack of casual yet hip clothing in Baltimore’s shops.
The other owner of Jean Pool is Josh Dunkin. Josh currently lives in Baltimore with his Chihuahua Spike. Spike has been designated as the official mascot of Jean Pool. Josh adopted spike in 2003 after Spike was no longer competing in show dog competitions. As with Scott, Scott moved around a lot before finally residing in Baltimore. Josh moved several times over during his childhood, he lived in: Connecticut, Savannah Georgia, and Roanoke Virginia. Josh attended Radford University were in graduated with a degree in interior design in 1997. His first job was in Mclean Virginia at Rowe Furniture. Josh explains that he loves this area of the country and has based his business decision on staying here. Josh has also held several positions with: Mitchell Gold, Bob Williams, Clayton Marcus Furniture, and Marcy Segal and Associates. Along with Jean Pool Josh has founded his own interior design business in Baltimore. Josh founded JSD designs where his company specializes in commercial design.
